DaVinci Overheating

I leave my DaVinci on 24 / 7 and access it remotely via an android tablet using bVNC along with the bluetooth module.  The DaVinci is connected via ethernet and is plugged into a UPS.  It works great but after a week or so, the DaVinci becomes unresponsive (no network access) and flashes a red temperature warning on the display.  Tapping the network menu on the DaVinci display with the stylus reveals the message ‘dhcpcd not running’.   The only way to recover is to reboot the unit locally, accessing the ‘raspberry’ menu using the stylus.   This restores network connectivity and is usually good for another week or so.

I’ve tried re-imaging and purchased new microSD cards but nothing seems to help.  Has anyone else run into this issue?  I'm beginning to think it may be a hardware issue and am thinking of dropping the pi 4 into another (headless) enclosure with better cooling capabilities to see if it will help.  I don't really use the screen on the DaVinci except for resets when I lose network connectivity (which only happens with this specific issue), so losing the screen wouldn't be the end of the world.  Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated!
