Hi Dirk,

Thanks for the answer. I suspected this to be an “issue” with the api, and not so much the Certabo software. Good to know this normal system behavior, all tough a pity it’s not possible to switch from game to game.

I’m happy with my work around to just use a dedicated account for OTB games.

Regards,

Reint.

Hi Reint,

a second account could be a solution! For user there are playing long games via corresponcence chess, there is no alternative. The beserk API fetch also a long game play if is available, If you can live with two accounts all is fine.

Dirk

Hi Reint

As Dirk was pointing out  it is the APi sync on the actual current game only and the board reflects this. Actually you can switch between games on the board, if you have two games running, the board will  sync with game where the last move is played so the board will switch between the two games as soon as a move of that game has been played. For example you are playing game 1 and leave there then opponent of game 2 makes move the  board will sync on that game so you will see many leds turning on as the board is expecting to sync with game 2  (so will expect different pieces in different locations) in theory if you then set up the board according to the position of game 2 you can keep playing on that game. So in theory you could switch but in practise it is not very comfortable neither convenient having many games running in  parallel on the same board unless you have very long games and willing to switch position on board between games when you need to play your move.

All the best

Pietro

Hi Pietro,

Thanks for your thorough answer. I experimented with this, and came to the same conclusion. The game with the last move is shown on the board. So when I'm playing a game and in another game someone makes a move, suddenly the board changes to that game. When playing with clock, this is very annoying. So for my Certabo board, I use a dedicated account now. I'm very happy with this solution.

Thanks,

Reint.
