Hi Pietro

Maybe now you have added 'Sound' to the engine move, would it be possible to add another 'Sound' when you make an illegal move?

Regards

Bryan

Or even a voice saying "check". The bell sound is perfect for making a move btw. Well done.

Hi Bryan

Sorry missed this message, thanks for suggestion noted and added in to do list too it makes sense. Well we can do two different .wav and then you can just customise

Pietro

Hi Pietro

Will the illegal move sound be implemented with the next update?

Regards

Bryan

With the chessboard I got a magnetic USB connection. The connection is a standard micro-USB connector, but the plug remains firmly on the chessboard so it does not have to be disconnected from the board every time. The USB magnetic head is easy to plug in and unplug, and can jump out if you accidentally disconnect the cable. The plug is reversible, regardless of which side you connect it to the board.

Unfortunately, the supplied NetDot cable is only about 100 cm long. This can become a problem if you place your PC/Notebook on the opposite side. I ordered a 2 meter long cable from NetDot Gen3 (!) from Amazon. This makes you more flexible when setting up the devices.

Personally I would prefer that the USB cable socket be located at the rear of the board. Maybe sometime in the future a bluetooth connection would be nice.

Hi Franz

Thank you for note yes maybe for bigger board 2m would be better. We'll check for having option for longer cable. Yes we use Ned Dot but also other suppliers. Brand normally is on strap make sure when you change that you buy same version of cable or change also the little usb plug too pulling parallel from both side. Because different brands are not compatible between them as there is not yet a standard on contact layout they may not work. The same Net dot gen 2 is not compatible with NetDot gen 3  for example. Best is just keep change both cable and usb plug at same time.

All the best

Pietro

Hi Bryan

BT optional accessory is in the pipe line 🙂 and will be retro compatible for all Chessboards.
