Hello from Maine USA...

Hello from Guy. My family and I just purchased the last Vittoria board and a RPi computer as a family gift. Can't wait until it gets here! We have a RPi 3 B that we have used and played with a lot. Mostly to learn Linux/Unix, programing (Python), and wireless networking. It's tough to harm a Pi! If it does, just redo the microSD card and you're good to go. That has really helped me with the rare times I've needed to address some Mac issues through the command line terminal. I thought about using my RPi for a chess computer. Also I like Certabo's presence on Github. I've used Github before for racing drone builds and programing, Loop insulin pump automated diabetes delivery system, and some other projects. Open Source! One thing I have found a little difficult is finding good small chess pieces for the 33 mm squares. Anyway, peace from Maine...Guy

Hi Guy

Welcome to Certabo, from Boston, England, UK.

I have the Vittoria and a Da Vinci (Pi 4) it works well. I use the Ceratbo 2.75 inch chess pieces. Available in the Certabo shop. They have a larger RFID chip than the 2.5 inch chess pieces from Certabo and the system reads tham v. well.

Hello Guy

Thank you for joining and welcome to the club! Yes the last one went with you it was the first model we released already two years ago but it looks yesterday.

Yes we found those Pi very flexible and if you do something wrong you just reburn the sd. In the DaVinci 2gb and 4gb there is the Pi4 so you shall see quite an improvement.  Actually we see the pi also in industrial application today.

Anyhow on the square 35mm a set 2,5"  would fit ok.  The standard chips coming are 20mm in diameter which are the one embedded in the 2,75" set as Steve was highlighting

Take care and thank you again

Pietro

Hey Pietro. You are fast! It's beautiful! I purchased this for a family Christmas gift. I have to wrap it to place under a Christmas tree that we have not received yet. Oh the wait! Peace...Guy

Hello Guy

Happy it reached you soon and even before the tree 🙂 and you like!

Normally here as for tradition we make the tree on Dec- 8th which is a bank holiday, but actually having little kids the tree starts appearing just after halloween  around first week of november if not earlier. This year we made it very late and we have since three weeks already or only since 15 Nov. if you listen to our kids.

All the best

Pietro
