Request: engine parameters

Hi it is possible to add some parameters in sooner versions?

New UCI engine could run with a elo_strength  parameter whre you can add numbers like 1400 to setup the strength of an engine.  The setup via Level 1 - x has no indication how strong it is. It would be very helpfull.

About 8 months ago I asked a similar question here in the forum. Unfortunately no answer so far.

Hi Matthias, guys

Well according to stockfish the skill level should change the strenght for a give depth of searching, but changing strengh according to our understanding means that some blunder are  randomly inroduced playing weaker move and the lower the skill level the higher frequency for the weaker move.

The parameter is correctly passed to the engine  but i reckon especially at lower depth very fast reply the chance to have weaker move maybe reduced. Also please check in case the .json file if there is by chance a UCI_LimitStrenght is set to something as this may overrride the skill level setting. I also suggest you to completely remove the stockfishXX.json file in case so make sure that all parameters are not override by parameters in the file.
