Software quits when trying to go online

Hi all,

 

I have suddenly encountered a new problem. Whenever I try to launch Lichess from the software interface, it immediately quits. I can play engines with no problem, but online play is a non-starter at the moment.

Has anyone else got this problem?

Hi Cameron

I just tested now and all looks normal, can play with no problem. Can you please take a screenshot of the log in the terminal window so can see which error is reporting. Is it software crashing or not openining the web inteface?

It can be some file corrupted but we can possible see from the log.

Thanks for your reply Pietro.

The whole thing suddenly quits as soon as I click the Lichess button - terminal window and everything else.

Hi,

I got the same problem in the Windows App (modded 4.5). Usually I play with the Online-Software. Here I got the message to use the Certabo Software for rated games. But if I click on the „lichess.org“-button, the software crashes immediately and all windows close.

With the modded DaVinci version I just could play on Lichess, but even with a 7“ LCD its hard to see the text etc.

Can you right click on desktop shortcut and launch as administrator?

Thank you both, now it works.

I never will be a friend to Windows in this life. I was running the main.exe with administrator rights. But now I changed the rights "to all users", and now it works. I am the only user and administrator on this PC but  often I am not allowed to save my own files 🙂

Either Windows is so crazy or I am to old for this sh... 🙂
