Certabo UCI Driver by Lars Nowak

PreviousPage 4 of 5Next

Hi,

I cannot confirm that. If I follow the link, I can see three versions 1.3.0, 1.4.0 and 1.4.1.

By the way, you can also download the driver from my new website.

Certabo-UCI

Regards,

Lars

When I extract it, the file still states 1.4.0...

How do you get information about the version?  Did you have installed the previous version and now, the GUI reports still the previous version?

Try this: Go to the folder where the driver is installed and execute the exe file (just with an double click). An empty windows should appear. Type the command "uci" into the window. You should get information about version, author and options. Type "quit" to close the window.

Regards,

Lars

When I float the mouse over the UCI file it shows up as 1.4.0 and Fritz 17 isn't recognizing it and Shredder 13 doesn't recognize it as an UCI engine.

Hello Rich

did you manage to have it working at least once?  maybe stupid question can you check which framework .net are you using?

Thinking to make brief video guide to configure with those so can be useful for all

@ Lars nice website with collection of Chess computers 🙂 will update link to it.

I have both frameworks installed. I got this to work on one computer with my first board.

Hi, your are right. If you flow with the mouse over the file, it shows the wrong version.

This is just a mistake I made when creating the files, but it does not harm the functionality. What is important is what the machine responds to the "uci" command.

If you have trouble to install it, maybe you can try it with the Arena GUI? With Arena, it is easy to see the communication between the GUI and the engine. Maybe it shows the problem.

That would be nice. I'm not equipped to do this.

P.S. I have to updated the collection. Something is missing 🙂

I can't get anything to work with Arena. Do you have any video tutorials? This becoming increasingly frustrating.
