Hello Klaus

Maia uses Lc0 engines with human weight can you do this check go in engine folders and type ./Lc0 you should see some information like

LC0 compiled by ..... if it crashes or give other error problem is in the exectuable. You can also launch the software with option --debug ./main --debug and when is happens take a screenshot of the log window so we can double check the problem.

For second question yes the software creates a directory where it saves the calibration files and setting  will double check and give you the path on MAc.

Meanwhile I managed to run the DaVinci-Version on a 7inch-LCD. Looks really nice on the bigger screen.

But I further have the problem with bluetooth-connection. The Windows-version works fine with bluetooth, but the DaVinci-version doesn't work. Has anybody running the DaVinci-version in bluetooth mode ? Or has anybody a hint, how to manage this problem ? Thanks.

 

btw the original DaVinci version works fine with bluetooth

Hi Pietro,

I think we're getting a lot closer. When I type ./lc0 on the console, I get the message: "Bad CPU type in executable". I still have an Intel Mac - is that perhaps the problem.
I installed Lc0 via brew and copied it to the Certabo engine folder and Lc0 now works. Unfortunately the Maia setups do not work yet.

Hi Klaus

Yes that is the problem that one included has been compiled for Apple Silicon which has Arm architecture, i found the one compiled for Intel here and also for other platforms https://www.chessengeria.com/post/lc0-0-29-0-released the one for intel is at this link for download link just download unzip and you need the file called Lc0-0.29.0_Mac_Intel you can try running this and it should work fine now if ok just rename it to Maia so when you select it in Certabo software it will prompt to select the elo network you like.

Hello Pietro,

Unfortunately, it doesn't work. Lc0 as engine works. I can play against Lc0. So I renamed Lc0 to Maia. So I could play against Lc0 - as "Maia".
If I tried one of the Maia networks, it did not work. I also never got a prompt to choose one of the networks.  I tried to copy the Maia engine from the engine directory to the Maia directory - but unfortunately it didn't work either.
Unfortunately, the "link" from your last message does not work. I only get a "forbidden".

I shared a recompiled version of Lc0 for intel let me know if it works please download also the latest 4.52 once you rename it to Maia and select you shall be prompted to select the network
