Glad to hear that this modification has worked for you too! And thanks for sharing the details of display you used. I summarise here so far can be useful for other.

Display touch 3,5" Generic "Rev.3" (this is marked on back of display) This is standard on DaVinci (no modification in config)

Display touch 3,5" Kuman/Waveshare (older devices)   remove :rotate=90,swapxy=1  from config.txt

Display touch 3,5" Elegoo (new?? devices)  :rotate=90,swapxy=0

If you find out differently or new ones please note it,  will keep updated the list
