Underpromotions? Do we need multiple sets just for this?

So what are we supposed to do when in the middle game the engine we're playing against underpromotes to a rook and both rooks are still on the board?? Are we really expected to own multiple sets just in case? That's the problem of the design where each piece has to be recognized. Should have been more like a DGT Centaur where it only knows a piece is on a square, not what type of piece it is.

Yes that condition actually will require another piece to be recognised like rook.  Well if you only piece sensing there would be other limitation. A way to get round this could be software modification where for example you remove pawn put one rook you have and then put another piece where the rook was which would be rewrite as rook too. Else if feasible I think it may be confusing and will require additional calibration afterward probably as idea it is good to have 6 spares chips configured as white and black rook, bishop and knight. This chips can for example have instead the Certabo logo have sticker with symbols of pieces and colour you add to your set and keep just in case this  happens and is required.
